Company History
After putting himself through college at Portland State University, painting apartments and rental homes, Mike Hughes went to work at a large corporation in 1995 with a degree in Finance Law. He quickly realized that working in a cubicle all day was not his lifelong dream and soon after, he started Absolute Painting!
Mike’s goal was to provide honest, hard work with attentive, personal service to always exceed his customer’s expectations. His customers started to tell their friends and family and the company consistently grew. In 1997, Absolute Painting became even more personal to Mike as his mother joined the company and became a full-time house painter and business partner!
Now, Absolute Painting has nearly 20 highly skilled, motivated employees and a long list of services. In addition to offering the highest quality in painting jobs, Absolute Painting also offers all types of construction services, interior design and color consultations. Absolute Painting’s steady growth and success can be attributed to consistently delivering quality results and always putting the customer first.
How We Work
Step 1: Contact us for a free estimate and we will contact you to schedule a time for your free in home consultation with one of our friendly staff members.
Step 2: At the time of your consultation, we will ask you questions about the project, your timing, your home and your budget so we can understand your goals prior to submitting a formal proposal.
Step 3: In most cases we can email you a highly detailed proposal explaining our process, the products we will use and exact cost of the project.
Step 4: If you choose to work with Absolute Painting we will email you a contract to sign and have you send in a deposit.
Step 5: If you need help with choosing the perfect colors, sheens or paints to use our designer can come to your home for a free color consultation.
Step 6: Our amazing office team will work closely with you on the timing of your project so we can schedule the work when you are ready.
Step 7: We will keep you updated as we get closer to the project on the schedule and when you can expect your team to arrive and how many days you can expect the project to take us.
Step 8: We try to meet you at the start of each project to go over the scope of work with our team so they understand all of the details.
Step 9: Our team will treat you and your home with respect and care to make sure we leave it as clean as when we arrived when the project is completed.
