Beaverton is such a wonderful town with so many great businesses. Growing up in and around Beaverton I have found many favorites that all have amazing stories and wonderful service. I try hard to support local family-owned businesses in the community that I live in and love to learn about how they started and who they are.
An Introduction to Beaverton Businesses We Love
As a business owner myself, I enjoy working with and learning about other small businesses. Some of the best businesses around are right in our own backyard. I would like to share some of my personal favorites with everyone and hope you can experience them for yourself. These will be in no particular order but they are all amazing!

10. Five Star Guitars
Five Star Guitars is a locally-owned and operated guitar and music store owned by three great guys who all have a passion for music. They are always so helpful and truly enjoy teaching others about music. They have one of the best selections of guitars and a great online store as well. They were even named NAMM 2020 Dealer of the Year!
9. Buddies Sports Bar
Buddies Sports Bar has been a local favorite for the past 30 years on 185th and Farmington Road. They have been owned and operated by the same three guys for the past 30 years which is a great accomplishment! The service is amazing and they make wonderful drinks. The food is way above what you would expect from a typical sports bar and they have great specials every day.
8. Precision Auto Body & Paint
Precision Auto Body & Paint has been a fantastic local company since 1975. They are located on 141st & Canyon Road in Beaverton. I personally know the owner very well and he is dedicated to high-quality work and great customer service. I would highly recommend going to see them for your auto body needs.
7. Koeber’s Interiors
Koeber’s Interiors has been a local favorite since 1963 in Beaverton. They have a huge selection of carpet and flooring along with furniture and window coverings. Koeber’s is now a second-generation company. They have a great team to install your flooring as well. The owners are all amazing and super helpful when you go into the store. They have a very nice showroom to visit right off HWY 217 on 111th Avenue.
6. The 649
The 649 is a fairly new addition to the Beaverton area. It is a craft beer and cocktail bar located on the corner of 185th and Farmington Road. The food and drink selections are very creative and fun. They have a great atmosphere and a nice outside patio area to visit. Well worth a visit to check it out!
5. Accessory Outfitters
Accessory Outfitters has been a Beaverton area favorite since 1996. If you want to add something to your vehicle these guys will get it done for you! They are located off Alexander Street right off 185th. Absolute Painting has them do all of the work on our fleet anytime we need ladder racks or other accessories. The owner Patrick can be found at the front desk helping customers most of the time and he is wonderful to work with if you need anything.
4. Insomnia Coffee
Insomnia Coffee is a fun local coffee shop located near Safeway on Murray Road. They have one Beaverton location, three Hillsboro locations and one in Cannon Beach. The coffee is amazing and the decor in the shops is very fun. Try the pastries and food when you are at Insomnia as it is all very delicious!
3. Monkey’s Subs
One of my all-time favorite sandwich places is Monkey’s Subs on 185th and Farmington Road. They started out with this location many years ago and have now expanded to many other locations around Beaverton. The owner is a great guy who helps support the local schools and sports teams. Go check this place out!
2. Murrayhill Cafe
Murrayhill Cafe is a locally-owned and operated business located on Murray Road near Scholls Ferry Road. The food selection is amazing and the happy hour menu is great as well. They have a great selection of wines to choose from and the service is wonderful. It is one of our favorite places to grab breakfast on a weekend as well. They are opening a new Tap House located in the same parking lot this Summer so we are excited to check that out!
1. Brock Automotive
Brock Automotive is a locally-owned and operated auto repair shop located off Cornell Road in Beaverton on Twin Oaks Drive. They specialize in fixing import cars and are amazing to work with. They are honest and always helpful when you have car problems which is all you can ask for!
