At Absolute Painting & Power Washing we get asked which company makes the best paints quite often. That is a difficult question to answer and it really depends what you are looking for. Each company makes low end paints and high end paints. Paint manufacturers make paint that is price driven for new construction (contractor grade) and they also make name brand paints that are high quality and more expensive. They make paints for all different types of surfaces including drywall, masonry, metal, flooring, concrete, millwork, cabinets and everything in between.
Choosing the right type of paint is critical no matter who makes the paint. If you are painting a door in your home you will typically want to use an enamel paint that will dry hard. This would not be the right choice if painting walls or ceilings. Some paints are specifically designed for exterior doors.
