So while I was on vacation this winter I got the interior of my home painted which is a great way to do it if you can pull it off. This was the first time that I had my own home painted in a number of years so I had Beth help me out with my project. I guess I never realized how big of a help it is to have a color expert until it was my own home. Of course I mainly listened to my fiancée and Beth when it came to picking the final colors. It took about one hour from the time Beth showed up for us to pick colors. Beth ordered color samples to be delivered that were on sheets of paper. She told us to put the sheets in each room and in different lighting to help to make sure we liked them. Out of the six colors we chose we only had one small change.
I am sure it saved me countless hours have a designer help with the job and probably a lot of mistakes. You may pay a little more to work with a full service painting company that offers design services but it will be well worth it in the long run when you get to enjoy colors that actually work well in your home.
