Off Season Discounts

Many homeowners in the Portland area call us for interior painting during the spring and summer which we truly appreciate. In many cases this is because they just bought a home and they want to get it painted before they move in or they are selling a home that they need to get on the market.

In many cases it is just a homeowner that decides to do the projects they have been putting off during the cold wet months. For most painters around Portland including Absolute Painting we are extremely busy from April until October with exterior painting projects. You will find this to be true in most places that have the rainy season we have every year.

Calling a painter during the busy season to do interior painting can actually cost you more in most cases. If they are booked out with exterior paint jobs for weeks in advance it can be very difficult to get them to come give a bid or schedule the work. If they do have time to give a bid it may actually be higher as they could be paying overtime to get the project done.

Interior painting seasonal special

If you are flexible with your timing it is very common for a painter to discount the labor rates from 10-30% in the off season. This does not mean they are overcharging in the busy season as it just costs them more at that time. Don’t be afraid to call a painter and ask them when you can get the best pricing for interior painting. In most cases it will be November until March every year in the Portland area. It really is not a bad questions and most painting contractors will not be offended if you ask them this.

When considering your interior painting project ask yourself how soon you need the work done and are you willing to wait if it will save you some money. At Absolute Painting & Power Washing we are happy to help you get your job scheduled when it works best for you and your budget.
